The collaboration between Looklen Architects and Remood was recognized at ASA 2026 with a Silver Award in Sustainable Design — reaffirming our conviction that questioning the role of a material is where meaningful design begins.
This design emerged from an “unfolding” of WPC panels away from their conventional identity as surface cladding, repositioned as a free-standing structure suspended within space — twisted simultaneously along both vertical and horizontal axes, opening the space in every direction and inviting people to move through it, look inward, and engage with the material’s truth directly.
The WPC panels are arranged in a rhythmic alternation of dark and light tones, adding dimension and depth that gives the entire structure a sense of movement — even in stillness.
